Martin Gangnier Director of Licensing

Martin is Director of Licensing and has been with Re:Sound since 2006.
Martin is responsible for strategy development and revenue collection under all current and future public performance tariffs. He oversees the identification, development and implementation of strategies that create new revenue streams, increase existing revenue, collection speed, and customer satisfaction. Martin directs Re:Sound’s licensing team in identifying and securing new licensees of all sizes, building relationships with key stakeholders and educating music users about the value of music and public performance rights.
Martin has a BA from Université du Québec à Montreal (UQAM). Prior to joining Re:Sound, Martin held various sales and marketing positions in the hospitality industry, including with the InterContinental, Sofitel, Hilton and Fairmont hotel chains.
Martin currently serves on the Board of Directors of Art Starts, a charitable organization that uses the arts as a vehicle to encourage social change and community development in Toronto's underserved neighbourhoods. He has also been a competitive hockey coach, and coordinator for the YMCA in his hometown of Québec City. |
